In January 2024, Bloomberg reported the updated rumor about Apple to release an electric vehicle (EV) in 2028. The rumors about Apple EV have been circulating the industry for about a decade. The rumored the release day has been postponed from 2019, to 2024, to 2026, and now to 2028.
The EV battery report profiled over 180 battery-related companies and research institutes. Over 40 major battery factories, including Tesla and Panasonic, LG Energy Solution and GM, CATL, and their capacity are listed and forecast to 2031 in the report.

Dr. Jennifer K. Colegrove was born and raised in China. She received both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees with honors from Peking University in Beijing, China. Dr. Colegrove has a Ph.D. from the Liquid Crystal Institute at Kent State University in Ohio. She is the founder and CEO of Touch Display Research Inc. (www.TouchDisplayResearch.com), a market research and consulting firm that focuses on touch screen, display, sensor, battery and emerging technologies.
Dr. Colegrove has over twenty years of industry experience. She holds many analyst “firsts”: She was the first analyst to write a comprehensive touch screen industry report since 2006 (therefore, she is called “Doctor Touch” by her colleagues); she was the first analyst to write an active pen industry report since 2013; she was the first analyst to write an ITO-replacement industry report since 2013; she was the first analyst to write a quantum dot industry report since 2013; she was the first analyst to write a touchless HMI industry report since 2014.
