SID 2019 Monday Seminar attracted record high attendees

May 13, 2019, by Jennifer Colegrove Ph.D. Touch Display Research Inc.

SID 2019 DisplayWeek is held in San Jose, California this week. I taught a seminar on Monday morning, titled “Display and Emerging Technology Market Forecast –LCD, OLED, Micro and mini LED, e-paper, touch screens and smart windows”.

I’m honored to have been teaching Monday Seminar for 5 years at SID DisplayWeek. According to the conference organizer, there are over 1100 attendees for the Monday seminar this year, which is a record high in SID history. (Last year 2018, there were over 800 attendees for Monday seminar, and in 2016, there were over 600 attendees for the Monday seminar, which was a record by then).

More and more people joined the seminar, many of them had to stand for the one and half an hour seminar. From the questions the attendee asked at the Q&A session, I believe many people are interested in 4 areas: quantum dot, flexible OLED display, Micro and mini LED, and touch screen.
